A Guest Post from T.K. Rapp, Author of THE UPSIDE OF REGRET (with a giveaway!)

What inspired me to write my book:

My daughters and I talk a lot. I don’t there are any subjects that are off-limits. That’s how both of my YA stories came to fruition. My YA stories are sort of my “advice” to my girls, in a way. I suppose it’s my way of letting them know what’s out “there” and preparing them should they ever face something like that in the real world.

Believe it or not, the strangest place I’ve ever gotten inspiration for a book/ series/ character/ plot point was…

…a conversation with my husband. My 5th book was Fumbled, a football story. We were watching the Texans one night and we’re both huge fans of JJ Watt. We started talking about how it must suck to be him because he doesn’t know which women want him for “him” and which are out for fame. So I wrote Fumbled where my “JT” finds love despite his fame. It was a really fun story to write.

And finally, a day in the life of an author:

LOL! Get ready…it’s SUPER exciting.
1. Wake up at 6:00am
2. Take the kids to school
3. Go to work (remodeling on the side)
4. Lunch
5. Work a little more
6. Pick up the kids
7. Dinner??
8. Chauffeur the Kids (soccer & swim)
9. Around 10pm – try to write.
