Each story focuses on a separate couple at the event and is written by a different author. Though of course they can be read on their own, they’re much more fun when read together!  REVIEW:

These books are so darn adorable! I absolutely loved both the idea and the execution. Sure, they’re short–but each one gives you a glimpse into the others, and each offers a continuation (of sorts) for the rest. Each time I finished one, I jumped into the next, eager to see what else was going on at that wedding that we hadn’t quite known about during the other novellas. Every time I got to the end in one, that novella was my new favorite. Until I started the next, of course….

The order in which you read them doesn’t seem to be crucial to understanding them; they’re all a story in their own right. Nina’s the sister of the bride, and her maid of honor; Pippa’s Honey’s best friend from high school–and the first girl the groom asked to marry him; Grace is the new wedding planner (the old one caused…an incident); and Eve is the groom’s former secretary–and the woman who still has a huge crush on him. Their stories all intertwine, but don’t necessarily depend on each other.

Seriously, I love the idea behind this series. At just about any event–but somehow it seems even more so at weddings–there’s always so many different stories going on just below the surface of the event itself that the majority of the people there have no idea is even happening. This series really capitalizes on that, which is what makes it so fun. Having different authors too helps to emphasize the different hero and heroine featured in each.

The best part? You get all this–five different couples, five different HEAs, one big intertwined story–and all can be read in less than a weekend. Perfect for curling up with as winter once again rages outside.

Series rating: A-/4 stars

ABOUT THE AUTHORS:

Australian novelist Ally Blake is a redhead, a footy fan, and a devotee of the language of Aaron Sorkin. She is addicted to stationery and M&Ms, weak in the face of Italians and firefighters, married to a spectacular and ever-patient man, mum to three beings of pure delight, and a firm believer in love, luck, and fairies. She is also a best-selling romance writer with more than twenty-five fun, flirty romance novels under her belt.  Published through Harlequin Mills and Boon and Entangled Publishing, and author of the romantic adventure Facebook page 50 Days with Rose, over three million copies of Ally’s books have sold worldwide. For Ally’s take on life, writing, and other fancy stuff, follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

Australian born Kelly Hunter writes short contemporary romance for Harlequin Mills &Boon and even shorter contemporary romance for herself. First published in 2007, Kelly’s books have finalled once in the Romance Writers of Australia’s RUBY award, six times in the Australian Romance Readers Awards, twice in the Romantic Times Readers Choice Awards and have been nominated three times for a RITA. Thus inspired, Kelly keeps writing them. Why short category romance and not a bigger wordcount? Aside from a deep and abiding admiration for the shorter form, Kelly has a three-month book-writing attention span. If she ever learns to write faster or pay attention longer she may write longer books

Kimberly Lang isn’t one of those people who always knew she wanted to be a writer. She actually wanted to be a ballerina, but puberty failed to deliver the required swan-like elegance. That dream scuttled, she went on to get her Master’s Degree in English – and she has the bartending skills to prove it. At her husband’s insistence, she quit teaching in 2007 to write full-time, and in May 2008, sold her first book to Harlequin’s London office. That book, The Secret Mistress Arrangement, debuted at number nine on the Borders Series Bestseller list and won the 2009 National Readers’ Choice Award for Best First Book. Since then, Kimberly’s books have appeared on the USA Today, Amazon, Borders, and Bookscan bestseller lists, and have been translated into more than a dozen languages. (And, yes, that’s really cool.) She’s married to her college sweetheart, whom she affectionately (but appropriately) calls her Darling Geek, and is Mom to the most brilliant and beautiful child on the planet (aptly nicknamed Amazing Child). She started taking yoga-based fitness because she eats way too many jelly beans while writing, and became an instructor once she figured out that spending time with her butt over her head helped spark her creativity. More than one sticky plot point has been solved in the Down Dog position.  She has no hobbies because she doesn’t have time, but if she did, they’d include knitting, skiing and ballroom dancing, because they sound like they might be fun.
