Oh, NaNoWriMo, you always seem like such a good idea at the time… Two years ago, I was happily plugging away at my NaNo novel when–my laptop died. Just died.   My keyboard is on fire this first weekend of NaNoWriMo, I tell you! Okay, maybe not exactly on fire. Unless when you look to the left of this panel you see a really big number in my NaNo widget. Mini Moe #2 and I are headed over the border today–to the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake to see Our Betters by W. Somerset Maugham. It’s kind of last minute–a friend had extra tickets. Their website says it’s similar to Downton Abbey, which we’ve both watched and liked…well, MM#2 liked it until she saw the season finale last year. Since then she’s been a little bitter; hopefully nothing like that will happen this afternoon. It’s recommended for ages 14 and up–fingers crossed that I won’t have to spend too much time covering her eyes. NaNoWriMo begins this Friday! Don’t worry–still plenty of time to…

  Oh, I am soooo in denial that tomorrow is September first. Actually, it’s in an hour and a half, but I’m still going to label it tomorrow because that makes me feel better. See? To celebrate the anniversary of their Kindle Daily Deal (which I use waaaay too often, especially thanks to that darn Whispersync for voice), Amazon has more than sixty-five of their past deals on sale again today.
