New Release Review and Giveaway! LOVING EDEN by T.A. Foster

 Loving Eden is on tour!

Have you ever thought of packing up everything you own and moving halfway across the country?

I’m talking about leaving your entire life behind—friends, family, school—with no turning back. No? Me either, but that was before a week of spring break changed my life forever. Before I did something I never thought I’d do at twenty-two. Before I fell in love with Grey.

Sometimes happily ever after isn’t always what you think it will be.

Loving Eden continues the story that Kissing Eden started, and really is geared toward people who have already read the first book. It’s not that anything happens in book two that you won’t “get” without having read the first, but you’ll already have a better grasp of the characters and where they’ve been if you do. It’s still an enjoyable read; I just think you’ll get more out of it if you’re already invested in the characters and their HEA.

Without having read Kissing Eden, I have to admit that for much of the book Grey doesn’t appear in the most favorable light. Loving is told from Eden’s fairly typical twenty-two-year-old point-of-view, and she spends a lot of time second guessing what’s going on in his head and hoping she hasn’t made a mistake by moving to Texas to be with him. She mourns the loss of the days the two of them spent in Kissing (doing a heck of a lot more than kissing), but reemerging insecurities keep her from confronting him and point-blank asking him what’s going on for a lot of the novel, which gets a bit frustrating.

There’s also a host of other factors that interfere with the plans that Eden thought she had for their lives, some good, some worrisome, and some that could be life-changing. Eden and Grey have a lot to deal with in this one.

Ultimately, a HEA is satisfactorily reached. Loving Eden is fairly typical New Adult fare–if you read and enjoyed Kissing Eden, this one is probably a sure bet.

Rating: 3 1/2 stars / C+
