A new series!
Rocky Mountain Rivals has an enemies-to-lovers vibe with relatable characters and a lovely setting. Fleur and Drake’s romance felt inevitable from the first–except to them, of course–but they had a lot to work through, in their own lives as well as between the two of them, before they could get to their HEA. Miscommunication plays a pretty big role here–some of it made sense, but some of it felt overdone (the Drake/Colin storyline especially. Maybe seeing things from Colin’s POV would make it better…?) but overall the rest of the story was strong enough for me to overlook it.
The fate of the sisters’ ranch is still up in the air at the end, insuring we’ll need to pick up later series books to find out what happens. I see what you did there, Ms Rock! 😉
