One bet.
One drink.
One night.
That’s all it was supposed to be.
Instead, my first and only one night stand shows up as my temporary boss.
Working together will prove to be difficult, especially since that connection we both experienced in Lake Tahoe is still there pulling us back together.
Plus, there’s probably some rule somewhere that you should never sleep with your boss, right?
There’s too much at stake but this time will the risk be worth it?
Review:
Wishing to be Yours is a one-night-stand-oops-he’s-your-boss-now story, with a possible long distance relationship complication to give it an extra twist. I enjoyed it quite a bit–the characters were likable, the romance has just the right amounts of chemistry and heat, and the way the Silver Lining and its wishes were worked in was nicely done. The relationship crisis does rely heavily on a lack of communication between Derek and Brittney that walked the fine line between relatable and OMG, just talk about it, already!, but it wasn’t dragged on too long (it is a novella, after all ;)) and the ending was very sweet.
My first from this author, but probably not my last!
