New Release Review! ROCKED BAYOU by Erin Nicholas (Badges of the Bayou #3)

Rocked Bayou cover

He’ll protect her from everything…except falling for her broody, dirty-talking bodyguard.

Ex-bodyguard Colin Daly needs three things:

To figure out how to have a real job after his longtime client no longer needs him.

To find some really good Irish whiskey in the land of homemade moonshine.

To stop having dirty dreams every time he hears young, beautiful, recently-discovered-thanks-to-social-media music sensation, Hayden Ross, sing. Which seems to be every time he freaking turns around lately.

But now the new-to-the-spotlight sweetheart has a stalker and needs 24/7 protection. And Colin will be damned if he’s going to let anyone else take this job. No matter how much being her temporary, very protective roommate is going to rock his world.

Review:

Hayden and Colin’s story was so much fun!

Though he went pretty quickly from I-can’t-even-think-about-touching-her-she’s-going-to-be-a-client to well-it’s-really-best-if-I-act-like-her-boyfriend-now-for-REASONS-and-let’s-practice-by-kissing-the-heck-out-of-her-in-my-driveway-up-against-my-truck it’s hard to be too upset when the results are what they are. 😉 Plus the fake boyfriend for security reasons lasted about, oh, sixty seconds and then they were together for (almost and then really) real, so…

Ms Nicholas did a great job of showing us how these two NEEDED to be together, giving them all kind of obstacles why it couldn’t work, and then showing us how of course they could have their HEA, once they figured out what it was they actually wanted. With tons of sexy times and happy sighs along the way, of course.

For fans of Erin Nicholas‘s writing, I think maybe every Louisianna-based series is represented here? Darn close to, anyway. But newbies will enjoy the story as well, because I honestly don’t see how you could not. Just don’t blame me if your TBR pile suddenly looks like a who’s who of the author’s entire backlist, though… #sorrynotsorry
