After a traumatic past, Stephanie Rosen has put her demons firmly behind her. Her revamped career as a pet photographer is blossoming and she’s finally ready to re-enter the dating world and rediscover her hibernating sensuality. Except there’s only one man she’ll consider for the role. And the Navy Surface Warfare Officer she has in mind has been on a ship halfway across the world for months on end… until now.
Lieutenant Daniel Murphy has never forgotten his one-night stand with Stephanie. Hell, her abduction was his personal call to serve. He’d do anything to help her out, yet how can he reprise his role as a no-strings-attached lover when his feelings for her are anything but casual? But with only twenty days of leave at his disposal, his personal life is all about the short term. And Stephanie’s bid for sensual reawakening is very, very convincing. He just needs to use their steamy private alliance to show her what a formidable team operation they could become… forever.

Review:
Danny and Stephanie’s story is a sweet and steamy second chance romance. Danny’s the last Murphy brother to find love, and fortunately for him, it’ll be with the woman he’s been in love with for the last five years–since they spent a magical five days together and then went their separate ways.
In the meantime, Stephanie’s suffered a horrible tragedy that she’s just starting to recover from, and Danny’s been in the military. He doesn’t expect to see her when he gets home from deployment, and he expects her proposition–to help her find her mojo again–even less. But he’s not sorry about it…until it’s clear he has feelings beyond another fling. Now he’s going to have to convince her to try for forever instead…
Though this is the fifth book in the series, it worked just fine as a standalone–though I can’t lie, it might leave you wanting to know more about the other brothers’ stories by the time you’re done with this one 😉
