Catch Me
by Jennifer Probst

Synopsis:

Rick Steele has avoided relationships since he caught his fiancée cheating, but when he’s talked into a one night stand through Madame Eve, he’s not prepared for his emotional and physical reaction to his date. Tara Denton escaped a brutal past and needs one night with a stranger to get beyond her sexual and emotional limitations. Tara has to make a choice, but is she ready to get caught?

Review:

I’m not sure how Jennifer Probst pulled it off, but Catch Me somehow manages to be both sweet and h-o-t at the same time…a different combination, but it works!

Rick and Tara were both full of all kinds of misgivings about using the service that Fanta-C offered. Rick’s been leery of relationships ever since catching his fiancee in the worst sort of betrayal, but one-night stands don’t hold much appeal anymore either. Tara wants to get back up on the horse after living through a horrible several-years-long abusive relationship. She never wants to be in a relationship again, but instead just wants to try and get her mojo back before her vibrator dies of exhaustion.

But their one night together (and phew! What a night it is!) ends up giving them so much more than either one expected, though…

Rick’s the first to sense that they’ve got something more than an unbelievably hot night of sex between them, and he’s got his hands full trying to convince Tara of the same. Everything in her resists the “R” word. Rick is persistent, though, and amazingly sweet as he helps Tara to get beyond the mental blocks her abusive past keeps throwing up in their way.

Catch Me is a novella, so we don’t see a lot of the Tara puts her life together parts of the story, instead focusing on the Rick and Tara have smoking hot sex parts. Though I’m sure Tara’s personal journey would be something to read, it’s hard to argue with the page time the two of them end up with here. 😉

If you’re looking for a quick but really hot read, give Catch Me a try. You’ll probably be back–and soon!–to give the other Steele brothers a read as well.
