New Release Review and Giveaway! MIRACLE ON 5th AVENUE by Sarah Morgan (From Manhattan with Love #3)

It will take a Christmas miracle for two very different souls to find each other in this perfectly festive fairy tale of New York!

Hopeless romantic Eva Jordan loves everything about Christmas. She might be spending the holidays alone this year, but when she’s given an opportunity to house-sit a spectacular penthouse on Fifth Avenue, she leaps at the chance. What better place to celebrate than in snow-kissed Manhattan? What she didn’t expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous—and mysterious—owner.

Bestselling crime writer Lucas Blade is having the nightmare before Christmas. With a deadline and the anniversary of his wife’s death looming, he’s isolated himself in his penthouse with only his grief for company. He wants no interruptions, no decorations and he certainly doesn’t appreciate being distracted by his beautiful, bubbly new housekeeper. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva snowbound in his apartment, Lucas starts to open up to the magic she brings…This Christmas, is Lucas finally ready to trust that happily-ever-afters do exist?

Review:

“It’s the Dance of the Seven Veils. Thermal edition.”

(I nearly spit out my hot chocolate on that one. Read this book with extreme caution. And napkins.)

Loved. This. Book!

This book gave me all the feels. Happy sighs, quiet almost-tears, and laugh out loud moments (seriously, when Eva makes editorial changes to Lucas’s manuscript? I almost lost it)–this one had it all. Granted, I still need to read Paige’s book ( Sleepless in Manhattan ), but I can’t imagine I could possibly love it more than this one. I mean, anything’s possible, of course, but…OMG. Eva. And Lucas.

Sigh 🙂

The crime writer and the hopeless romantic–could any two people be less suited for each other? Or more perfect together? I think not. I loved that she was the inspiration for his latest book (though sadly, not for either of the characters she thought she was–poor Eva. He totally had that unsolicited edit coming) and that she finally got him to take a chance on love again. With a little help from his scheming grandmother, of course, and a host of other characters. And a snowman. And a crazy expensive bottle of wine.

Plus, Eva and Lucas. Have I mentioned how much I loved them? Yes?

Miracle is the third book in the series, (and hopefully not the last) but it should work fine as a standalone. Yes, if you’ve read Frankie’s book ( Sunset in Central Park ) you definitely could see this one coming, but you don’t have to have read it first.

(And OMG, I just realized that I actually own Normal , the book Sarah mentions in her “Thank you” at the end. I’m going to have to read it now…though just reading the description makes me feel the need to turn on the bedside lamp…and it’s mid-morning already.)
