Another adorable Soul Mates in Romeo story!
Though I’m even more skeptical than Will was about Edna’s “soul mate psychic” abilities–I can’t be the only one that thinks those “visions” she has at the beginning of the book are amazingly vague, surely?–it’s hard to argue with the cuteness of the story that results. I thought it was pretty clear that Will, not his twin Gavin, would be the hero of the story (yes, even before I got to the first chapter from his POV, which of course is a dead giveaway–and no, I didn’t read the synopsis first, why would I? I enjoyed the previous book in the series, after all ;)) and the way it all eventually is revealed is OMG just so freaking cute.
And all of Jessie’s (somewhat failed) attempts in between at rom com-style fall-in-love scenes? Icing on the cake. Even if some of them were from movies. Or maybe because some of them were from movies…
Though it has to be said that the fact that she was trying them all to get an already engaged and soon to be married guy fall in love with her is somewhat problematic. Fortunately she realizes how wrong she is before it’s too late and turns herself around…after a teensy little black moment hiccup, that is.
Another tried and true element in any self respecting rom com.
Bring on the next so-called soul mate pairing, Edna; I’m ready!
