Review:
This was a quick and fun read in one of my favorite troupes–friends to lovers!
I loved the character of Faith–somehow it’s always so easy to relate to heroes/heroines who suffer from unrequited love, isn’t it? Spending so much time firmly in the “friend zone”–it’s hard not to totally feel for her. I am so jealous of her dog training abilities, though. Once more a fictional dog owner manages to make me feel totally inferior. Ah well, I just tell myself she’s dealing with fictional dogs, whereas mine is totally real…real annoying… 😉
Carter is a very likable hero as well–I do always like the oblivious guys who eventually get a clue. The fact that he did try to figure out if the “more than one soul mate” idea was a myth was heartening–you go, Carter!–though he was a little too quick to decide that one person’s experience in that area was going to be the new law. My thinking would be, “Hey that old idea was proven wrong, so maybe there’s flexibility here as well?” Ah, well, at least he finally figures it out. I really loved the awesome thing he does for Faith at the end, (not going to tell you; you’ll have to read it!) because it was just fabulous.
I’m definitely going to be reading the other Seattle Wolf books soon–it’s a fun world, and werewolves are one of my weaknesses! Can’t wait to see what is coming next. 🙂
(Can I just say I was totally bummed that the cover Carter doesn’t have the book Carter’s tattoos? I was really looking forward to checking them out…oh well, a minor issue, I know. But still.)
