Synopsis:

Kyle Reeves was trained by his father to do one thing: be the very best. So he isn’t daunted by the Delta Force selection process—the toughest military training on earth—or when the very best woman falls into his arms.

Carla Anderson buried her heart in Arlington when she lost her mother and brother to combat. She wants nothing more than to give her all in the line of duty until she too is laid down beside them, and Delta training might just be the challenge she’s looking for. Little did she know, the true challenge was coming in the shape of a sexy, alpha-male military operative.

Surviving brutal training is just the beginning of the merciless path to Delta, but it’s also the dawn of the hottest passion Kyle and Carla have ever known…

Review:

What a fantastic series start! I felt like I was going through the Delta selection, OCT, and their first missions right along with the characters (though thank goodness I wasn’t actually, because I am waaaay to wimpy to make it). Watching the first woman in Delta make the cut was inspiring, even if it’s only fictional–for now.

I loved Carla–her attitude, her ability to think on a dime, and the way she was able to hold her own with the guys–just awesome. Watching her learn about “girl clothes” and how to use her feminine wiles? Very entertaining.

And Kyle? Well, he’s definitely my new military-hero book boyfriend. Though “Mister Kyle” and “Wild Woman” are just so perfect together, I feel almost guilty about that.

Almost. 😉

Mr. Buchman definitely knows how to ramp up the suspense, and he did it here in spades. It was literally impossible to put the book down toward the end–I had to find out how they were going to get themselves out of the situation they found themselves in.

I cannot wait for more from this series! Hopefully he’ll give us more from this team–and the next class as well (another female unit member–whooo hoo!)
