Synopsis:

Booth Harrison has made a habit of getting what he wants, be it a new addition to the Harrison media empire, or a better relationship with his half-brother.  But meeting his brother’s new sister-in-law, Camryn McBride, poses a new challenge.  The savvy CFO of McBride Media has a brain he wants to pick…and a body he needs to claim.

Camyrn has spent the past few years helping to rebuild her family’s magazine company, focusing on that rather than her disastrous personal life.  But when Booth Harrison invites her to be the keynote speaker at a sales conference in Hawaii, she’s tempted to combine business with pleasure.

But meeting the billionaire’s demands won’t be easy, because someone doesn’t want a merger between them to happen.

Review:

I’ve done it again–started a series with book three! Don’t worry, though–The Billionaire’s Demands can be read as a stand alone, but you’ll see just enough of the heroines and heroes of books one and two that you’ll want to go back and read them too 🙂

(And if you’ve already read them, then the epilogue to this one will be especially satisfying!)

Fox’a Boardrooms and Billionaires series focuses on the three McBride sisters–oldest sister Keira (Tempting Acquisitions, #1), youngest sister Mayson (Merger to Marriage, #2), and Camryn, the middle sister, who finally gets her story told. The three work together at McBride Media, a company started by their grandfather which their father had been allowing to languish until the sisters convinced him to hand it over to them ten years before the series began. They’ve since remade it into a corporate powerhouse, and as the series starts, are beginning to turn their private lives around as well.

Camryn isn’t jealous of her sisters’ newfound happiness–not really. And she’s not unhappy herself–not exactly. But she’s a numbers girl, and doesn’t believe in taking on excessive risk–this includes in her personal as well as professional life. Putting herself on the line for love? That’s the biggest risk of all. Add on to that the fact that the one guy who really tempts her is her older sister’s step brother-in-law and a media mogul in his own right, and it just doesn’t seem like a wise investment.

Or is it?

The Billionaire’s Demands offers a nice blend of believable romance with corporate drama. I loved Booth’s character–he goes after what he wants (both in business and Camryn) without being too over-the-top alpha about it. Camryn, as I’m guessing her sisters did in their books before her, struggled with being a woman in a man’s business world and held her own believably. I’d like to have seen her give in to Booth sooner than she did–he really was doing his best to prove to her that he was a good guy–though her main reason for hesitating was a decent one and their texting conversations in the meantime were a lot of fun.

All in all, this was an enjoyable read that definitely will have me reading more from Ms. Fox–this series as well as others–in the future.

Rating: B+/ 4 stars

About Addison Fox:

Addison Fox can’t remember a time when words weren’t part of her life. An avid reader, her love of the written word started at the tender age of one with The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear (a poem she could recite by heart to any family member who would listen.) Dr. Seuss, C.S. Lewis, Judy Blume and a host of others quickly followed until she discovered THE CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR by Jean M. Auel while writing a paper at the library in the seventh grade. Although not a classic romance, Ayla and Jondalar’s love story moved her firmly into the romance section and she hasn’t looked back!

Addison writes paranormal and contemporary romance for NAL, category-length romantic suspense for Harlequin Romantic Suspense and category-length contemporary romance for Entangled Indulgence.

Addison lives in Dallas. She loves to get email from readers.
