September 2021 #TBRChallenge Review! WRITTEN IN THE STARS by Alexandria Bellefleur (Written in the Stars #1)

#TBRChallenge time! I slacked off for a couple of months, but I’m back, baby! September’s challenge theme is unusual (time/location/profession, etc.) and I decided Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur could work, since Elle is a social media astrologer. Plus, it was one of the group reads picked for Creating & Co’s Written in the Stars Readathon, so it could do double duty 😉 Goodness knows my TBR isn’t getting any shorter, so I’m going to make a concentrated effort to make a strong finish with this challenge for the rest of the year. Wish me luck! With nods…

March 2021 #TBRChallenge Review! SCOT UNDER THE COVERS by Suzanne Enoch (Wild Wicked Highlanders #3)

I finished it! <3 If you missed my long, drawn-out post explaining the challenge and this book’s place in it, you can read it here. When a resourceful English lady and a hot-blooded Highlander join forces to trick a scoundrel, every rule will be broken! Miranda Harris is known for her charm, wit, and ability to solve any problem she encounters. But when her brother lands neck-deep in gambling debt to a crafty villain and Miranda is subsequently blackmailed into marrying him, she must enlist the help of the devil himself to save the family honor―and herself. Devilishly handsome Highlander…

I’m not ready to review yet, but I am currently reading my March #TBRChallenge book–and it (mostly!) fits the monthly theme! March’s theme (the graphic is kind of blurry up there, sorry! It’s not meant to be enlarged too much) is Book by a Favorite Author. To be honest, the author I picked wouldn’t be one who would immediately come to mind when I think about “favorite authors” but I recently read the third book in her newest series for the blog (loved), which…

2021 #TBRChallenge for January (Comfort Read) ALWAYS THE LAST TO KNOW by Kristan Higgins

Kristan Higgins is one of my OG romance authors. When I consciously decided to read mostly romance for the rest of my life (because my real life sucked enough at the time that I felt ZERO need to read books that might leave me sad or uncertain at the end–I required guaranteed HEAs in some aspect of my life, please) I found a used copy of one of her books–at the used book sale at the library I now am in charge of, maybe?–and proceeded to binge read her entire backlist ASAP. She became a go-to author, and when I…
