New Release Review: A Shot of Red by Tracy March

I interviewed Tracy March here. Check it out! A Shot of Red by Tracy March This was an enjoyable, suspenseful and action-packed read–with a touch of romance and a HUGE plot twist toward the end that I absolutely did not see coming! (Seriously–Mini Moe #1 heard my gasp through his headphones and everything–he was very concerned about his mother’s well being. Or maybe it was the state of her mental health that worried him. I’m going with option #1, though. It makes me happier.) Picturing Gio looking like this makes me happy too–he was Tracy’s inspiration for the part. 😉…

An Interview with Tracy March, Author of A Shot of Red

I’m so excited to have Tracy March here today! Her latest book, A Shot of Red, came out last week and I can’t wait to read it!      Welcome, Tracy! What five things should readers know about you? I’m always up for travel and adventure—it’s awesome inspiration for settings and stories. I love baseball. Really. Love. Baseball. (And hot guys in baseball uniforms!) I’m interested in science and politics and that influences the romantic thrillers I write (think House of Cards meets a medical drama). My own happily-ever-after with my swoony NASA guy inspires my contemporary romances. <3 I…

Title: Tempted in the Tropics Author: Tracy March Series: Suddenly Smitten Genre: Contemporary romance Published: 2013 Pages: 192 Format read: ebook Rating: B+   Tempted in the Tropics was a thoroughly satisfying follow up to March’s earlier The Practice Proposal–we even get to see that book’s hero and heroine, Cole and Liza, tie the knot! The fact that they do so at a tropical location is just sugar sprinkled on the top of the muffin…throw in a sassy baker and a dreamy doctor, and you’ve got a fun way to spend a less-than-tropical autumn evening. Release Day Spotlight and GIVEAWAY! Tempted in the Tropics by Tracy March

I’m really excited to bring you the release day spotlight for the two newest Bliss books today. First up is Tracy March’s Tempted in the Tropics, the second book in her Suddenly Smitten series. I just finished it this weekend, and it was adorable!   Tempted in the Tropics by Tracy March   About the book:   The only thing they agree on is the sultry heat between them.   Nothing’s more important to Paige Ellerbee than her struggling bakery, Sweet Bee’s. When Lane Anderson, the temporary new doctor hot enough to rival McDreamy, moves in next door, though, she’s…

What I’m Reading: Week in Review (9-7-13)

Okay, so I’m actually a day late. School has started and I’m exhausted. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. I haven’t been able to read as much as I’d have liked to, naturally. But I’m still ahead on my Goodreads challenge, so I’m calling it a win. I read the novella I Dream of Johnny by Juliet Madison to get ready for the Three Wishes Blog Tour. It was cute–and short–though there were a few too many easy coincidences for me to give it more than three stars…a C+ rating. Enjoyable, though. I loved the idea behind it. I’ll definitely…

What I’m Reading: Week in Review (8/23/13)

Well, another family vacation is over (sigh.) and we’re that much closer to school starting up again (bigger SIGH.) This can mean only one thing: time for some serious denial! Nothing says denial like lots of non-school related reading, right? Though, sadly, I did sneak some school-related reading in there too. Even my denial has its limits. Unfortunately. On the first full day in the Poconos, my sister-in-law got us all tickets to see the minor league affiliates of the Yankees (her favorite team) play. I was a little concerned, because we woke up to rain that morning. (Not…

Find Your Happily Ever After Here (and a Giveaway!): Happy First Anniversary, Bliss Books!

This month marks the first anniversary of Entangled Publishing’s Bliss books line. To celebrate, they’ve asked fans to talk about why they enjoy Bliss books, and are also offering an awesome giveaway—a Blissfully Sweet Gift Basket. Bliss titles offer uplifting, contemporary romances that focus on family, community, friendship—and of course, a HEA! I really enjoy them because they’re short and sweet, and are perfect for those times when I want a guaranteed happy ever after with a good dose of modern-day angst first. They focus more on the emotional relationship between characters (especially the hero and heroine, naturally!) than the…
