1. I’m a huge Jane Austen fan.
2. My characters are important to me. As I write, I develop a relationship with them and let them lead the story. I’m always surprised where they take me.
3. I have a full-time job plus a son, so writing time is hard to find. I write at night when everyone in the house is asleep.
4. 80s music is my inspiration when I sit down to write.
5. I’ve been writing since I was 8 years old and having published books is a dream come true.

Where did the inspiration for your book come from?
My entire series focuses on my characters finding themselves and overcoming difficulties. I like to put a human face on issues of the day such as addiction, mental illness and family issues. Madeline came to life in book #2 and I fell in love with her innocence. She’s been sheltered her entire life and has never had an opportunity to find herself. In Finding Peace, she discovers her inner strength and a new life that she wouldn’t have imagined at the beginning of the book. I hope it encourages others that no matter your circumstances, you can break free and live the life you desire.

What are you working on right now? What can readers look for from you in the next year?
Book #4 in the Reclaiming Life series is my current project. It follows Bex Roberts and her desire to find love. Bex is a handful, but my favorite character. As always with Bex, expect a lot of snark and rude behavior. This one will follow the enemies to lovers trope.

What are you currently reading, and what are your thoughts about it so far?
I’m a bit behind the times. I’m finally reading A Discovery of Witches and loving it.
