Review:
My first book by Jeanine Frost, but definitely not my last! I loved the snarkiness she gave Ivy’s voice in this first-person POV story.
I haven’t actually read the first book in the series yet (The Beautiful Ashes) but it didn’t take me too long to get caught up with what was going on/what the “rules” of this world were. Ivy and Adrian are likable characters; though their fated to be enemies/destined to be together romance plot sometimes felt like an excuse for insta-relationship, I really did like them together do it’s hard to find fault. The infusion of biblical elements into the worldbuilding kept it interesting; the ending insures I’ll be haunting my inbox, waiting to see when the third book will be released!
