Need a short and steamy read to warm up a chilly day? Check out Lea Bronsen’s latest!
Thanks so much for agreeing to be with us today, Lea!
What 5 things should readers know about you?
I like to be the goof, I’m a fan of everything wild such as music and sports, I have too much imagination for my sanity, my heart bleeds easily for the weak, and I’m fiercely loyal.
Tell us all about your main characters—who are they? What makes them tick? Most importantly, what one thing would they need to have with them if stranded on a desert isle? 😉
Andrea is a 38 year-old romance author and single mom. She likes men, but from a safe distance, as she lost faith in love years ago. Sex-on-legs Yushka is fourteen years younger than her and getting tired of fleeting relationships. He sees a clear potential in their mutual attraction, so what makes him tick is Andrea’s refusal to admit the obvious and take a chance with him!
If stranded on a desert isle, Andrea wouldn’t want a single thing: she’d lie on the beach, close her eyes, and dream away forever. Yushka, on the other hand, would demand a warm-blooded woman, lol 😀
I have to admit, there’s definitely days when a desert isle sounds like a good deal… 😉
Where did the inspiration for this book come from?
Photos from a yearly romance convention; authors meeting their cover models. I knew a story had to be written where explosive feelings and scorching bedroom scenes were involved!
I agree!
How long have you been writing, and what (or who) inspired you to start?
Ever since I was a child, I have loved to read, which in turn inspired me to put my own thoughts to paper. It’s only in the last four years, though, that I’ve been serious about my writing.
Reading rules! 🙂
What do you like best about being a writer? What is the most challenging part?
The best part is reader feedback, because knowing someone enjoyed reading my book is immensely gratifying! As for challenges, there are many to surmount, but the biggest is finding enough time to write, edit, release, promote, critique fellow authors’ works etc. while leading a “normal” life with a full-time job and a busy family.
Normal is highly overrated. Or so I hear, at least 😉
What are you working on right now? What can readers look for from you in the next year?
I’m currently halfway into book two of the Hot Model Mine series, and it should be done by end of January. 2015 will see me working hard on the psychological thriller Carnivora, where I’m denouncing child abuse and trafficking.
Wow—ambitious!
What authors and/or books have inspired you?
Thriller authors Mo Hayder and Cody McFadyen have inspired me to write stories with tension, speed, suspense, and gory details. These elements might not be so evident in erotic romances such as The Perfect Shoot, but the edge is there.
I’ve been meaning to read Mo for a while now…I’ve heard great things!
What are you currently reading? What are your thoughts about it so far?
I’m not reading any book at the moment, but the next one on my TBR list is Board Indiscretion by my talented friend Jessica Jayne!
Huh—that’s funny; that’s on my TBR too! 😉
If you had to “sell” this book in a single Tweet, what would you say?
Erotic romance author meets young, handsome photo model: fireworks are guaranteed!
Yep—that about sums it up!
Thank you so much for interviewing me today!! I had such fun answering your questions 🙂
