Where did the inspiration for this book come from?
I had written the heroine in as a side character in RUINING MR. PERFECT (McCauley Brothers series), and I really liked her. So when a book about the McCauley brothers’ oldest cousin was in the works, I knew she’d be his perfect fit. I’d planned on writing about the Donnigans, the McCauley cousin, five years ago, after I finished the very first McCauley book. I just love the family dynamics in these stories.

How long have you been writing, and what (or who) inspired you to start?
I’ve been writing professionally since 2004. I’d always wanted to be a writer and tinkered with stories, but real life and needing a paying job came first. *grin* After majoring in English in college, I spent four years in the Marine Corps, then went through a bunch of managerial type jobs while devouring books. I couldn’t find the heroines I wanted, so I started writing my own. Then I filled my lunch hours with writing and soon segued into writing fulltime from home, thanks to a supportive spouse. Fast forward twelve years, no more spouse (yea!), two growing boys and living across the country from where I spent most of my years. I write full-time now, and for as long as I can continue to do so, I consider it a gift.

What are you working on right now? What can readers look for from you in the next year?
I’m currently working on edits for the first in a new romantic suspense series. Then I’ll be back to work on another project for Sourcebooks I can’t wait to delve into! After that, I have the last Donnigan’s book to write. And I’ve been looking forward to writing that one for a long time.
