Thanks so much for agreeing to be with us today, Molly! What 5 things should readers know about you?
1) I’m totally grateful for all the support and can’t thank you enough for reading!
2) I’m obsessed with Daryl Dixon, Deadpool, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones.
3) I’m a military spouse with two awesome toddlers and a stubborn English bulldog.
4) I sometimes can’t get into a character’s head unless I find the perfect set of songs for them on Spotify.
5) I have a moto-boot buying problem…
LOL, I hear the first step is admitting that you have a problem… (though, really, can buying shoes ever really be a “problem”?)
Where did the inspiration for this book come from?
The inspiration came from collaborating with my amazing editor, Stacy Abrams. We wanted to see if we could capture one epic moment in time and dig deep into how life-changing those instances can be. The Grad Night series was born!
A series, you say? Can’t wait to see where else you’re going with the idea!
How long have you been writing, and what (or who) inspired you to start?
I’ve been writing as long as I can remember. I wrote my first book in second grade. My teacher assigned the project and gave us these little blank hardback books. We had to write and illustrate the stories. Mine was about a little girl who finds some magic seeds and grows an entire crop of aliens. I was instantly hooked on the creative process, and I’ve never wanted to be or do anything else since.
That’s fantastic!
What are you working on right now? What can readers look for from you in the next year?
I’m currently working on the next books in the Grad Night series, and I’m so excited to show readers what is happening at other times in the party!
I’m also working on the next two books in my Love on the Edge series, which is adult adventure-romance.
Wow–sounds like you’re busy! Lots to look forward to!
What are you currently reading, and what are your thoughts about it so far?
I’m currently devouring the A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES series by Sarah J. Maas, and I seriously can’t get enough of it! I’m slightly obsessed. The characters are phenomenal and the action and romance is insanely good. This series will be on my re-read as often as time allows list 🙂
That series is definitely on my TBR. I keep hearing awesome things!
If you had to “sell” your book in a single Tweet, what would you say?
Love in the Friend Zone. One epic party. Endless ways to fall in love.
Perfect! Thanks so much 🙂

LOVE IN THE FRIEND ZONE
by Molly E. Lee
Release Date 8/14
Published by Entangled Teen
Genre: YA Contemporary
The only thing worse than not being able to tell your best friend you’re head over heels in love with him? Having to smile and nod when he enlists your help to ensnare the girl of his dreams.
Braylen didn’t even want to go to Lennon Pryor’s epic graduation-night party, but when Fynn begs her to be his “wingwoman,” she can’t deny him. Talking up her BFF—how he’s magic behind a camera, with a killer sense of humor and eyelashes that frame the most gorgeous blue eyes in the history of forever—is easy. Supporting his efforts to woo someone so completely wrong for him? Not so much.
Fynn knows that grad night is his last shot before leaving for college to find true love. And thanks to Bray, he gets his chance with the beautiful Katy Evans. But over the course of the coolest party of their high school careers, he starts to see that perhaps what he really wants has been in front of him all along. Bray’s been his best friend since kindergarten, though, and he’d rather have her in his life as a friend than not at all.
Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one epic party, complete with every high-schoolers-gone-bad shenanigan, and two best friends whose sexual chemistry is off the charts…if only they’d succumb to it.
