Thanks so much for agreeing to be with us today! What 5 things should readers know about you?
I am a vegetarian, run five miles a day, am an animal advocate, love french fries, and live on chocolate when I write.
Well, I’m with you on the last 3 items… 😉
Where did the inspiration for this book come from?
The inspiration for the story was the cover. My manager sent me a pre-made book cover—yes, the cover is pre-made—by Gabriel De Leon. She said, “This girl has a story to tell, and I want to know what it is. Can you write it?” The haunting look of the girl struck me, so Have You Seen Me? was born, inspired by the model on the cover.
Oh, wow! That’s a 100% new-to-me source of inspo—I like it!
How long have you been writing, and what (or who) inspired you to start?
I have been writing since the age of eight, but nothing inspired me. I just started writing and the way it made me feel was unforgettable. I was a writer all through grade school and got into creative writing courses in high school. When I published my first novel in 2007, no one I went to school with was surprised. Everyone told me they always knew I would be the writer in the class.
Impressive!
What are you working on right now? What can readers look for from you in the next year?
I am working on a ghostly romance called The Ghost of Hadley Hall. Next, you can expect the second book in the St. Benedict series. The first book is Death by The River. Book two is A River of Secrets and is coming in 2022. After that is the second book in the Waverly Prep series, Things That Won’t Stay Buried. Aubrey will be back with Mason along with a new cast of characters that face another sinister killer on the grounds of Waverly Prep.
So much to look forward to!
What are you currently reading, and what are your thoughts about it so far?
Right now, I am so busy writing, I have had little time to read. My schedule is full for the next few months, but I’m hoping to get some down time around the holidays to catch up on reading.
Fingers crossed that you do!
If you had to “sell” your book in a single Tweet, what would you say?
I think Booklist says it best: “An intriguing and atmospheric tale of murder and mayhem that will keep readers wondering what could possibly happen next.” ~Booklist

Lindsey Gillett is missing.
And she’s not the first girl at Waverly Prep to vanish without a trace.
To help cope with the tragedy, new history teacher Aubrey LaRoux organizes a small student investigation team. But when the members start turning up dead across campus, Aubrey suspects there’s more going on than anyone is willing to admit.
The murdered students all had something in common with Lindsey. They shared a secret. And what they uncovered could threaten the future of the historic school.
At Waverly Prep, someone wants to keep the past buried—along with anyone who gets in their way.
