Welcome, Annie! What 5 things should readers know about you?

  1. I am determined to be a successful writer.
  2. I am passionate about my career and put in long hours each day to write the best stories I can.
  3. I love taking photographs of nature.
  4. I am the owner of the naughtiest dog in the universe. His name is Toby.
  5. I love to travel around Australia with my husband in out caravan (trailer)

Hmmm…I’m not sure about #4…mine might give him a run for his money 😉

Where did the inspiration for this book come from?

The inspiration for Her Outback Cowboy came from a camping trip out to the Pilliga Scrub when our children were small. I listened to the farmer and his wife tell me about their romance and how they met on a working holiday. She went back to England, and he came home to the farm. Many years passed but I always remembered their story. We went back out there last year and I took beautiful photos of the outback sunsets and paddocks, and as I did, the idea for a story set out there was born.

Nice! I like how little things in real life can lead to the most amazing story ideas 🙂

How long have you been writing, and what (or who) inspired you to start?

I have wanted to be an author for as long as I can remember.  When I was four-years-old, my mother took me to a library and my love affair with books was born on that day. My mother always encouraged me to read, and the love of reading grew into a desire to write my own stories. I finally started writing six years ago, and I haven’t stopped! I have written twenty-seven books in that time and am fortunate to have been signed by both an American, and an Australian publisher.

That’s fantastic! Twenty-seven books? Amazing!

What are you working on right now? What can readers look for from you in the next year?

Oh, lots and lots!

Books 2,3 and 4 in the Prickle Creek Series are underway. Her Outback Christmas will be out in October this year, and Books 3 and 4early in 2018.

I have just completed the galley proof check for Diamond Sky, which is available in print in Australia and New Zealand, and e-book in the rest of the world on 27th June. It s Book 3 in the Porter Sisters series

I have just signed a contract with one of the big five publishers for two romantic suspense books. Whitsundays, a historical novel, will be published in September 2018, and Undara a year after that.

Awesome! Can’t wait 🙂

What are you currently reading, and what are your thoughts about it so far?

I have just started reading The Chocolate Tin by Australian author, Fiona McIntosh, and I am loving it. It is reminding me of the setting of Downton Abbey, one of my favourite TV series.

Oh, mine too! I’ll have to add that to my TBR!

If you had to “”sell”” your book in a single Tweet, what would you say?

Glamour of the city, or a hot cowboy! What is there to choose!

LOL—I like it!

About the Book:

The last thing advertising art director Lucy Bellamy wants is to go home to the Outback, but duty to family calls. At least there’s one bonus—her first love, sexy cowboy neighbour, Garth Mackenzie, is there and the attraction between them is still explosive. But Lucy has no intention of getting stuck in this two-bit town and she counts down the days until she can go back to her real life.
After an engineering degree and working in the mines of Western Australia, Garth has returned to the Outback and is home to stay. His goal is to settle down, start a family, and work his beloved land with the girl he’s always loved. But if it comes to Lucy choosing between the glamour of the city or making a home with him in the Outback—he’d lose, hands down.
