Review:

An excellent addition to the series!

As with the other books, Roaming Wild could absolutely work as a standalone, since the main focus is on the primary couple, Evie and Deke, this time around. The other 5 Steele siblings all make appearances, though, and the nonstop suspense and drama of this installment are likely to inspire you to give the others a try, though–just sayin’. 😉

Deke and Evie are a great couple–solid chemistry, and they’ve known each other for years while Deke, her oldest brother’s best friend waited for/dreaded Evie’s growing up. He’s got some hangups–Evie’s so much younger, in addition to the whole younger sister of his best friend issue; and he’s ready for a family when she’s just starting a masters degree–on top of all of that, his (secret, real) job makes relationships difficult (though others in similar situations somehow manage–in his favor, he does realize the contradictions in his hangups even while sticking with them, so there is that).  There’s an excellent suspense story here too, in addition to the relationship one–and both combine to make a book it’s hard to put down. If you’ve read the other series books, you’ll love this one; if you haven’t yet, it’s a great place to start!

One more Steele sibling to go–can’t wait!
