Private Investigators Meg and Charlie Schock are back for the third installment of the gripping Schock Sisters mystery series.
Growing up, the Schock sisters lived across the street from a serial killer—at least according to their mother. She’s spent years spying on the man and tracking his every move, but no concrete evidence has ever been found.
When Helen Schock joins a citizens cold case group and uncovers a link between her suspicious neighbor and three murdered women found in Virginia fifteen years ago, she does the one thing Meg and Charlie never expect…she hires them to prove she’s been right all along.
As the three work together to expose the truth and bring justice to the dead, they uncover an unexpected twist to the case…and find themselves hunted by a killer desperate enough to destroy them all.
Review:
Charlie and Meg Schock are back! And this time they’re bringing their mother. 😉
Ms Evans and Ms Giordano have done it again–given us a mystery that I, at least, honestly wasn’t 100% how things were going to turn out at the end until…we got to the end. Is their mother right about the neighbor across the street (she’s been convinced he’s a serial killer since the girls were young)? Are Charlie’s suspicions about her mother’s co-investigator correct?
Even more importantly–will JJ and Jerome survive lunch with Charlie and Meg’s parents? And does Meg have enough pot brownies to see her through it all?
Read 3rd Tango to find out!
(You should also read it because it’s a darn good story with fabulous characters that will keep you guessing and turning the pages. Some events from prior series books are alluded to, but you don’t have to have read them yet to enjoy this one. Chances are you’re going to want to read them after reading this, though–consider yourself warned.)
