Another sweet & steamy read from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Skye Jordan!
Some women want roses and I love yous. I want hot guys and great sex.
Maybe I’ve absorbed too much testosterone employed in the male dominated world of mechanics, only, I’m no longer working on a cruise ship with sexy men around every corner. I’m building a business with my two best friends in a small town where reputation is everything.
But it’s only six months before I can take my money and run–straight back to the sea. Only this time I’ll have my own sailboat, choose my own destinations, and live by my own rules.
When I meet Dr. Delicious over stitches, we’ve got instant heat, but he comes with major drawbacks, starting with an affinity for dating and ending with his status as a single dad.
Before I know it, I’m putting together a frilly “dream bed” for Christmas and teaching his oldest to repair a carburetor.
Dr. Delicious is the very definition of commitment, and falling for him is a non-negotiable no way.
Too bad my heart hasn’t gotten that memo.
The teaser we got at the end of book one ( In Too Deep , when KT meets Ben in the ER on Christmas Eve) was delicious, and KT’s story did not disappoint!
Though their chemistry was fabulous, I have to admit I worried for much of the book that Ms Jordan wasn’t going to be able to believably bring KT and Ben to an HEA–they wanted such different things! He had his three girls, had just bought a house and started a new job in Wildfire Lake’s ER while KT was only planning to stay in town as long as she had to to fulfill her obligation to her besties. How could these two crazy kids possibly choose a relationship and remain true to themselves too?
But of course I didn’t need to worry–it’s a romance! She *has* to make it work! And yes, the timeline of their relationship does still stretch credibility a bit–but they’re so cute together, and when you throw in those girls? It’s hard to mind too much, especially when you get to the epilogue… 😉
Next it’s Chloe’s turn–please tell me she’s going to be with hot cop 🙂
