Whether it’s the boardroom or the bedroom, hotelier Xavier Rodriguez is up front about absolutely everything. No secrets. No manipulation. So when he has a chance to work for an incredible nonprofit, he’s stunned that they throw his personal life into the spotlight. Now he apparently has a reputation to “clean up,” which is exactly when delicious temptation steps into his path…
Between her burlesque troupe, launching her own business, and planning her bestie’s wedding—not to mention her hard-to-please, extra-privileged family—Brittany Adair has exactly zero interest in anything more than a bit of fun tonight. And with Xavier, it’s a lot of fun.
One incredible night, no strings. That’s all it was ever supposed to be. But soon, what started as a hot little hook-up results in them sharing a tiny little secret that’s due to arrive in about nine months…and what happens next is anyone’s guess—especially when emotions get involved.
Each book in the Unforgettable Fire series is STANDALONE:

Review:
I’m not always the biggest fan of surprise pregnancy stories, but I really liked what Ms Usen did with it here. The characters behaved like grownups making grownup decisions, they didn’t throw around the blame game (birth control sometimes fails, people!), and OMG they absolutely didn’t stop their…bedroom activities.
So. Many. Bedroom. Activities.
So few actually involving a bedroom 😉
Both Brittany and Xavier were wonderfully flawed and relatable characters, and their chemistry was off-the-charts hot. It was perfectly obvious to the reader why their relationship black moment was going to happen–I know what he was thinking, but OMG WHAT WAS HE THINKING?–and it felt completely on brand that he needed another character’s help not once, but twice to get his act together and figure out how to both show *and* tell.
Which makes for one heck of a reunion when he does 😉
I haven’t read the first book in the series yet ( One Night Stand After Another )–you’d better believe I’m going to ASAP, though!–but it worked just fine as a standalone.
