A car accident in the middle of nowhere is the last thing I need right before Christmas.
But after yet another fight with my controlling, overbearing family, I throw some clothes in a bag, jump in my car, and just…drive.
Straight into a snowstorm.
Oops. But then my mistake starts to feel like serendipity when Jack Carter—the rugged, broad-shouldered fire chief of Honey Ridge rescues me.
He’s gorgeous. The best Christmas gift I could’ve ever asked for. Twice my age, he’s confident, steady, and the kind of man who makes me feel safe for the first time in my life.
Yes, he’s off-limits. What we’re doing will surely land us on the naughty list. And I have a life waiting for me back in the city. But what I really want to do is wrap myself in pretty paper and give myself to him under the mistletoe.
And Jack? He doesn’t want me to go back to that messy life, either. He wants me to be his good girl…forever.
Her Mountain Christmas is a short and very spicy instalove Christmas novella, starring a protective fire chief, an innocent runaway, and enough heat to melt a blizzard.
Review:
I too am “a bit of a firefighter calendar aficionado,” Ella, and I concur with your assessment of Jack’s suitability #iykyk 😉
Ella and Jack’s story is an instalove, super smutty holiday novella–they’re snowed in! Oh,the horror! She’s on the run from her hellish family situation, and he’s the fire chief who rescues her when her car goes off the road.
They can’t get her suitcase out of the back of the car for several days…oh, what a shame. She has to wear his too-big-for-her fire station tees around his house 😉
This book very much follows the standard formula for Ms Archer’s books–H/h with a considerable (but legal) age gap meet, share an instant attraction, and somehow manage to (kind of? mostly?) keep their hands off of each other for about half of the book until…they don’t anymore. Our heroine is no longer has her v-card and has discovered that Daddy kink is *very* much her thing. Our hero is big and strong and wants to take care of and protect her, and she is here for it. She is sweet but also sexy, he is sweet for her and of course OTT sexy too. If that is what you are looking for, you absolutely will not be disappointed 😀
Her Mountain Christmas is set in the Honey Ridge universe, but could work as a standalone. It doesn’t have to, though! Ella and Jack do manage to drag themselves out of his cabin at one point and meet up with the other MCs of the first three books; if you’ve missed their stories they are all conveniently available now in one volume ( Mountain Heat: A Spicy Mountain Man Collection ) for your reading pleasure.
