From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Dream Harbor series, comes a brand new paranormal romance set in the small town of Maple Hollow.
The darker the woods, the bigger the secrets…
Ruby Bellerose lives on the edge of the woods, in a cottage more akin to a fairy tale than modern day life. Her love life is basically non-existent, and she keeps away from the whispered gossip that travels through Maple Hollow.
Until a chance encounter with Rafe.
As mysterious as he is brooding, Ruby is drawn to the woodsman, curious to find out more about the stranger who lives deep within the woods.
But Rafe is hiding a secret. And with something lurking in the shadowy forest, will Ruby find that Rafe is her knight in shining armor or something altogether more dangerous…

Review:
Ms Gilmore’s cozy bakery-themed (I assume from the titles, at least) books don’t really appeal to me, but three brother werewolves with daddy issues, along with witches, seers, and dryads? I’ll give that a try!
Big Bad Wolf has small town, fall vibes all over the place–loved that this was set way up in northern Maine. I liked both Ruby and Rafe–even though, yes, he was a bit angsty and kept trying to stay away from her “for her own good” (not my favorite, but since he’s a werewolf I’ll allow it)–and the Little Red Riding Hood vibes were fun. IRL grumpy guys would drive me up the wall, but in fiction they’re definitely my jam. (Loved that he became BFFs with a little old lady at the laundromat and he’s the one that does the cooking–in an apron!) Ruby didn’t really take much grief from him, and I LOLed quite a bit while reading.
Is it a little like every other fated mates romance out there set in a small town? Sure. Did I have a good time reading it anyway? Absolutely. Am I picking up Theo and Pheobe’s book ASAP? You betcha! I need to have something to do while I wait patiently for Lena and Knox’s… 😉
