Woot! Finished with a half an hour to spare!

Okay, let me clarify–my word count has been achieved, but the novel is far, far, from finished. Many scenes need to be written and/or fleshed out, and don’t even get me started on the revision–I left notes for myself all over the place (in the chapter labels, where they didn’t count toward my word count, of course) about issues I encountered after the fact (e.g.–rewrite scene–JANE NOT THERE YET!) that will need to be dealt with.

But–fifty thousand words! I did it! Thank goodness for the way the month ended, though–I absolutely needed those five days in a row with no school!

So…reading? I managed a little 😉

I finished Read It and Weep (Jenn McKinlay) just in time to not get kicked off the review team–go, me! I reviewed it last Tuesday. I never saw one of the twists coming, though I did figure out whodunnit before the main character. I read the next two installments of Ruthie Knox’s Roman Holiday–Hitched and Blindsided–fun story, and I cannot wait for the next two installments to finish out the first arc. Poor Roman!

I also read Tis the Season to be Tempted by Aimee Carson, the last of the Baby It’s Cold Outside series of novellas. It was a great finish, and I reviewed it hereBittersweet Magic by Nina Croft ended up being the second in a series, but I wasn’t terribly lost and of course it made me want to read book one–soon. If you haven’t already, check out the giveaway linked with my review. Finally, I read Some Like It Sinful by Robbie Terman, which I ended up loving at the end though parts of the beginning gave me pause.

Next up (after a whole lot of sleep): Wild Card by Jamie Wyman (Eris, the goddess of discord is in it! How cool is that?) and Stolen Time by Angela Rae Harris.

On audio, I listened to Always on My Mind by Jill Shalvis, the latest Lucky Harbor book. Definitely recommend! Now I’ve moved on to Just One Year by Gayle Forman, the sequel to Just One DayIt’s Willem’s side of the story–I’m all antsy for “LuLu” to just find him already!

After that, I’m thinking I need to start Sarah MacLean’s newest, No Good Duke Goes Unpunished.
