About the book:
She was hired to clean up his image. He wants nothing more than to get her dirty.
Watching sex tapes at the office is just part of PR professional Vivian Blake’s job, especially when she has to clean up a celebrity’s image. Except that her newest client isn’t quite that easy. Racecar driver Jarod Cage is beyond hot, and his onscreen “performance” is already compromising Viv’s cool professionalism.
While Jarod hasn’t exactly been discreet about his personal life, he never thought his reputation could cost him both his sponsor and his racing career. Now he has to put his future in the hands of a tiny, pixie-like publicist. Which is becoming a problem, because the heat between them is about to redline. But when you go this hard and fast, putting on the brakes is the most dangerous thing you can do…
Review:
Warning: you’re going to need the A/C cranked up for this one…
Though there were a couple of whaaat? moments in the book (the idea of a matchmaker boss, for one–and the WTH? bit in Viv’s office and closet when she and Jarod first meet) I loved, loved, loved Jarod as a hero and could mostly deal with Vivian’s inconsistencies and so ultimately ended up having a lot of fun with the book.
Hot and steamy, it definitely is. 100% believable and feminist literature? Absolutely not. But there were as many laugh-out-loud moments as there were really? ones and it more than delivered in the erotic romance department, so for me it stayed in the plus column.
Vivian’s best friend and coworker Mel is clearly being set up for the next book in the series–I liked what we saw of her as a character and it looks like her hero will be a country singer, so sign me up for that one 🙂
Rating: 3 1/2 stars / B+

Excerpt:
Holy shit, does this guy know what he’s doing in the sack! Or in the bathroom stall, rather.
That was Vivian Blake’s first thought as she watched the video. Watched as he slammed the voluptuous blonde against the wall and drove into her with so much force, it took Viv’s breath away. Though she was watching the X-rated bathroom romp from her iPad—in the privacy of her own home—it didn’t stop the heat from spreading over her chest, up her neck and face, to the tips of her ears. She felt downright pervy watching the footage. The surprisingly clear footage. Yeah, she could see everything. This was no shady production. The picture was clear and sharp, damn near HD. She sank a little deeper under her covers, the cool, crisp sheets brushing against her sensitive skin.
Viv couldn’t help but wonder how she would feel up against that wall.Ah—she squirmed as another wave of warmth rolled in, blanketing her from head to toe, reaching places she hadn’t felt in a long time. It was too much to even think about.
Get your mind out of your pants and focus, Viv.
The tendons in the man’s arms bulged as he held Blondie up, cradling her thighs. It was one of the hottest things she had ever seen. And we were talking arms for fuck’s sake. Once she locked in on his face? Forget about it. The camera was placed overhead so the angle provided Viv with an excellent view of that rugged mug. Piercing blue eyes, strong jaw with the perfect amount of stubble, and plump kissable lips that he used to his full advantage as he brought this unnamed woman to the brink of ecstasy in a bar bathroom.
The guy, however, had a name. A name worth millions. Mr. Bathroom Stall Sex Guy was better known as racing sensation Jarod Cage. And he was a foolish, foolish man.
