An enjoyable read!

Serving Trouble is a second chance romance and best friend’s little sister story. (A two-fer! Bonus!) At the start of the novel, both Josie and Noah are trying to put their pasts behind them. Way, way behind them. Josie, who’s always felt like the town screw-up, just wants to earn enough money to get herself out of the mountain of debt she’s in–without having to admit to anyone just where that debt came from. She wants a do-over, but not with Noah, because she’s sure she’s learned her lesson there. Noah’s time in the Marines didn’t quite go as planned, and now he’s got a bad taste in his mouth and possibly a vengeful former commander after him and a fellow Marine. He knows this isn’t the time or place to start anything up with Josie.

But the best of intentions aren’t going to be enough to keep them away from each other. Add in a box of kittens, and you can pretty much kiss their resolutions good bye….

Kittens. Barns. Mechanical bulls. All good things!

As much as I enjoyed Noah and Josie’s story–and I really did–I think I’m looking forward even more to finding out how Noah’s former teammate and current dishwasher Caroline’s problems get resolved. Fingers crossed that her book is next, because making that poor woman wait any longer would just be cruel!

Serving Trouble takes place several years after the events in the prequel novella, Running Wild . Though you don’t have to have read that one, the mechanical bull scene comes up more than once in this book, so…just trust me, you’ll be glad you did 😉

Rating: 4 stars / B-

  1. I have to say that the guy was not who I had in mind when I was reading Noah, but he is hot! And sort of looks like Devon Sawa. 🙂

  2. He didn’t match what (who) was in my head either (but then, neither did the cover, bizarrely) but I’m not complaining!
