Seven Brothers. Seven Brides. A revenge seven years in the making.
I never wanted any part of my family’s revenge, but no one asked my opinion when my oldest brother handed out the Brides during Lammas. Now I’m saddled with Monroe, heir to the Amazon clan. She’s as deadly as she is sarcastic, and nothing like the woman I really want. Shiloh. My best friend.
The night Monroe and I consummate our handfasting is like nothing I’ve experienced before. It’s dark and brutal and intoxicating in a way I’m not prepared for. Which means it can never happen again.
But now, every time I turn around, I find Monroe and Shiloh together. She’s spitefully seducing my best friend, the woman I truly want, and there’s not a damn thing I can do about it.
I can’t have one without the other, but letting Monroe close might mean I lose myself completely.
Out tomorrow, April 13!
Review:
Phew, this series is something else…in the best way, of course 😉
Throuple number two in this Seven Brides for Seven Brothers-inspired, erotic romance series has been accomplished! Broderick, Monroe, and Shiloh’s story is a friends-to-lovers (Broderick and Shiloh), enemies-to-lovers (Broderick and Monroe, Shiloh and Monroe to a lesser extent), marriage of convenience/forced marriage (Broderick and Monroe) story. I suppose you *could* read this as a standalone, but the books are all closely connected and build upon each other, so you’re really better off reading them in order.
Plus, there’s all kinds of teasers for future books in each one to make sure you want those next books out now. (I’m looking at you, Cohen/Winry/Maddox and Ezekiel/Jasper/Beatrix!)
I have to admit that this time I was a teensy bit concerned that Ms Robert was going to be able to get Broderick, Monroe, and Shiloh to their HEA/HFN–he’s the second Paine brother, with all the responsibility that brings, and Monroe’s the heir to the Amazons; it sure as heck looks like the twelve month handfasting period is going to be it for them–and OMG, it’s not until the last possible minute that things get about as resolved as they’re going to get (I’m not kidding here, it happens right around 99%!), at least until things in Sabine Valley calm down, once and for all.
*If* things calm down…
I have faith in Ms Robert, though; she’ll give us something ultimately HEA-ish for all 7 throuples in the end, I’m sure! But goodness, will she make them all suffer for it! Not to mention endure countless orgasms along the way…that’ll balance things out, right? 😉
In the meantime, though, I may never be able to think of the game Truth or Dare quite the same way ever again, and that is 100% Katee Robert’s fault! Not that I’m complaining, mind you…
