From the ruins of an abandoned church comes Baltimore’s hottest and most exclusive BDSM club. Twelve Masters. Infinite fantasies. Welcome to Blasphemy…
He thinks he caused her pain, but she knows he’s the only one who can heal her…
Kenna Sloane lost her career and her arm in the Marines, and now she feels like she’s losing herself. Submission is the only thing that ever freed her from pain and made her feel secure, and Kenna needs to serve again. Bad. The only problem is the Dom she wants once refused her submission and broke her heart, but, scarred on the inside and out, she’s not looking for love this time. She’s not even sure she’s capable.
Griffin Hudson is haunted by the mistakes that cost him the only woman he ever loved. Now she’s back at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, and more beautiful than ever, and she’s asking for his help with the pain he knows he caused. Even though he’s scared to hurt her again, he can’t refuse her, because he’d give anything to earn a second chance. And this time, he’ll hold on forever.
Review:
Bound to Submit is a second chance romance story, and very sweet–no small feat, because there are large chunks of it that are not sweet at all… 😉
Kenna and Griffin were in a mostly-exclusive D/s relationship five years ago when she told him she wanted more. Griffin said he didn’t, and Kenna left.
He regretted it almost immediately, but it was already too late–Kenna had quit her job and moved away. Griffin didn’t know it at the time, but she’d joined the Marines.
Now she’s back, having survived an IED explosion. She suffers from survivor guilt, has trouble sleeping, and feels phantom pain from her missing right forearm. She needs something to take her out of her own head for a while, so she returns to Griffin’s club, Blasphemy.
Griffin is a master of Shibari, an artistic form of rope bondage, and I really liked how he did all he could to find out how he could use his art and not compromise Kenna’s prosthetic arm. He did a great job of helping her figure out what she needed to start on the path of real healing, and wow, did their scenes sound amazing.
However, I found myself wishing that the book had been longer. Even though the two had clearly been pining for each other for the last five years, their reunion was accomplished really quickly and they transitioned into something more almost right away. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted them together, but it hardly felt like they had to work at it at all–the blips they ran into along the way were pretty much just that, blips. A longer story could have given them more time to develop their relationship more fully, and shown us in more detail the path that Kenna’s new life is going to take from this point on.
Still, this was a really entertaining way to spend a few hours. I liked the old and new series characters, and I am looking forward to finding out what’s going to happen with the rest of the Masters of Blasphemy as the series continues.

He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…
Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…
Cassia Locke hasn’t played at Blasphemy since a caving accident left her with a paralyzing fear of the dark. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.
Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.
Review:
I liked this one quite a bit. Cassia had some fairly heavy duty phobias that had pretty much caused her to put her life on hold for two years, and watching Quinton throw himself into figuring out how to help her overcome them (in an erotic/D/s kind of way) was sweet. And…not sweet at the same time 😉
It did feel a bit rushed at times–Cass and Quinton do have a history, but we didn’t really get to see it, and they moved a bit quickly to declarations at the end (though the intensity of their…ahem, other scenes might contribute to that somewhat)–but it wasn’t outside the realm of believability. And whoa, was Quinton ever creative… 😀
Though several of Blasphemy’s other owners made appearances (along with a few characters from other series), this one worked just fine as a standalone. Ten more Doms to go!
