New Release Review! CODE NAME: DISAVOWED by Sawyer Bennett (Jameson Force Security #8)

Code Name: Disavowed cover

Life works in mysterious ways. Jameson Force Security has just received notice of a disavowed CIA agent in need of rescue in Central America. My blood runs cold when I learn that agent is none other than Greer Hathaway—my former fiancée.

Having gone our separate ways more than a decade ago, I still have bitter feelings toward Greer and the demise of our relationship. Those feelings don’t change the fact that I loved her more than anything, so I’m on the next flight out to embark on a rescue mission. Besides, Greer once saved my life, so now it’s time to return the favor and put her firmly in my past.

Face-to-face for the first time since ending our engagement, Greer and I are left with not only anger, unanswered questions and regrets, but also the undeniable chemistry we apparently still have. Will the promise of a new future together be enough, or will the same obstacles tear us apart again?

Review:

Second chance romance between 2 CIA agents? Yes, please!

I LOVED every second of Code Name: Disavowed. Greer and Ladd met 10+ years ago, when they were both working for the CIA. Their connection was instant, and Ladd was sure he’d found the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with. And everything seemed to be on track…until it wasn’t.

It didn’t take long for Greer to realize that she’d made a mistake letting what she had with Ladd go, but by the time she was ready to admit it, it was too late. When Jameson Force Security (OK, it’s pretty much just Ladd) is hired to rescue her from an operation gone wrong, she quickly realizes that though their chemistry is as strong as ever, it’s clearly still too late for them. Or is it?

The non-stop action of this book and off-the-charts chemistry of Ladd and Greer had me glued to the edge of my seat! The fact that a ten-year-old is instrumental in getting the two of them back together for good was just the icing on the cake. Seriously, even if you haven’t read a single other book in this series–run, don’t walk to pick this one up. You won’t be sorry!
