DARE ME (Steele Brothers, #3) Synopsis:
As a military leader back from the war, and the youngest of his two dominant older brothers, Rafe Steele struggles with a secret. He craves surrender in the bedroom under the controlled hands of a Dominatrix. When his brothers offer him an experience through the exclusive agency, FANTA-C, he jumps at the chance to experience one perfect night. After one experiment, he’s sure he’ll be able to move on. But he never counted on Summer Preston to strip down his walls and make him want more so much more…
An elementary school teacher with a girl next door, fresh face, Summer is constantly barraged by men who want to take care of her, but she longs to meet a strong man who can handle her dominant ways in the bedroom. Trapped in her own storybook life, she books a one-night stand to finally experience her fantasy. But she never counted on Rafe Steele to push her boundaries in both the bedroom…and her heart.
Review:
The Steele brothers series continues, this time with a twist…
Rafe Steele’s always been a leader. The third brother in the Steele family, he’s also the only one who decided to join the military instead of following in the footsteps of older brothers Rick and Roman and their father and becoming a dealer. Teachers and superior officers have always chosen him to be in charge of classes and groups. But in the bedroom, he finds himself wanting something else. But that’s probably just and one and done kind of thing, right?
Rafe accepts the Fanta-C card from his brothers just to get them to shut up about it, basically. He’s not even sure they’ll give him what he wants…or that he’ll really want it if they do. At first he thinks there’s been a mistake, because sweet, wholesome-looking Summer Preston can’t possibly give him what he needs. He’s never been more wrong…
I really liked that Ms. Probst took this one in a different direction, and enjoyed reading Summer and Rafe’s story. It didn’t quite live up to the other two for me, though–maybe it was how long it took for Rafe to come around to accepting both Summer as she really was and acknowledging what he really wanted? I’m not sure. Something about the story just didn’t quite measure up. It ended well, though, and he does a good grovel (and excellent one, actually–goes with the territory! ;)) so I was glad I’d read it in the end.
Bring on Remington’s story–I’m ready!
