Her Secret Lover
by Robin Covington
Synopsis:
Kelsey Kyle will do whatever it takes to get into the management trainee program at the casino where she works. So when she’s given the opportunity to get a VIP customer’s endorsement for the program, she jumps at the challenge. All she needs to do is arrange a one-on-one fan experience with the woman’s favorite author, tall-dark-and-intense Micah Holmes.
An entire week at a Vegas romance readers’ convention, surrounded by hundreds of people, is Micah Holmes’ idea of hell. But one look at Kelsey, his assigned hotel concierge, and the attraction is immediate. Maybe this week won’t be so bad after all…
Anything beyond a “strictly professional” relationship will get Kelsey fired, but she needs to get close to Micah to get the super fan experience her client wants. Hot sex in her apartment pool begins a game of “undercover lover” that quickly escalates to something more. But when Micah discovers her secret agenda, all bets are off.
Review:
I’ve never had any desire to go to Vegas, but this series might just change my mind 🙂
Her Secret Lover is a fun and sexy story with a touch of sweetness. Though it did feel like Kelsey and Micah moved a bit too quickly at first, especially given the forbidden nature of their relationship, I soon got swept into the story and forgot all about my initial misgivings. Kelsey was especially great at helping the sometimes-awkward-around-fans Micah to deal with the pressures that a reader’s convention brings on authors–I loved the scenes where she drew him out of himself and helped him to show fans his best side. Darn, that girl was good at her job–and at knowing her customers.
Of course, she got to know Micah a little too well… Though that worked out for them. And for the reader 😉
But I have to say–super-fan chick was beyond creepy. Hopefully Ms. Covington didn’t get that bit from real life, because ugh. (shudder)
I’m definitely going to have to get caught up on this series–ASAP!
