As many women as he’d charmed and seduced in his life, he could honestly say he had never, ever encountered a woman like this one. She rolled a sugar lump back and forth with the tips of two fingers. He wanted to suck those slender fingers into his mouth and run his tongue over them, between them, lapping up the sweetness until she gasped with forbidden pleasure. The fantasy was so vivid, he could taste it.
Good God.

Review:
Oh, this book! It’s absolutely delightful from beginning to end. There’s so many wonderful details–every single one of Millicent’s funerals–especially Chases’ eulogies, the fact that Alex and Chase first meet in a bookstore(!), the way that Alex’s imagination gets away with her so often in Chase’s presence (or even just when she’s thinking of him–oh, I can so relate there!), every time Alex is with her friends, every time Chase and Ash ( The Duchess Deal ) are in the same space, every time Rosamund and Daisy are on the page…I could go on and on. This story made me laugh (seriously, beware reading it in public) and made me smile more times than I can count–and at least two spots, there weren’t actual tears, but I came darn close.
Right now I’m kicking myself for not having read the first book yet–there’s no excuse, because I own it in at least two different formats!–but at the same time I’m glad I’ve at least got that to tide me over until the next book comes out. Though that begs the question–what will I do when both of the other “girls” have their HEAs? 😉
