New Release Review! THE REBOUND by Kendall Ryan (Looking to Score #4)

The Rebound cover

A smokin’ hot new standalone romance from New York Times bestseller, Kendall Ryan.

Price St. James, hockey’s favorite bad boy needs to clean up his image—or face suspension.

What could be more wholesome than helping his new neighbor Kinley? She’s beautiful, funny and newly single. (Score!)

There’s just one problem. She’s also the team captain’s sister.

There are rules about this kind of thing.

But rules were made to be broken…

Contents include: A dreamy AF hero, a bad boy trying to be good, a good girl who likes him naughty, oh, and a bun in the oven.

Review:

A really sweet friends-to-lovers, coworker/enemy’s little sister story–with a “she’s pregnant with another guy’s baby” twist!

Though it does stretch the bounds of credulity that all it took to reform this bad boy was helping his attractive, pregnant, single neighbor move a few boxes of books (honestly–he went from blackout drunk party guy/threesome fan to boyfriend material practically overnight), it’s hard to complain much when the result is this cute of a story. I mean–a big, tough hockey player who will go get a pedi to make his new “friend” happy? Yes, please!

(Sidenote: I really need to schedule a pedi. It’s been way too long…)

As with the other books in this series for the most part, there’s not a ton of angst or conflict–just a nice, steady slide into a relationship for two people who magically get blessed with a super chill baby about 3/4 of the way in. (I mean, first babies are often less trouble than seconds, right? That’s what cons us into having another one? Talk to me a few months after this book ends, Saint and Kinley, and we’ll see how chill your lives are then ;)) I’m holding out for the team captain, AKA Kinley’s older brother, AKA Saint’s former nemesis’s book. Fingers crossed that he has a juicy journey to an HEA.
