Release Date: September 22
Where the water runs deep and the danger runs deeper, two enemies will risk everything to survive.
Josie McAdams has built her life on rules. As an intelligence specialist for Jameson Force Seattle, she’s made a career out of turning chaos into order and catching the bad guys before they strike. But when a mission on the docks goes wrong and a handsome smuggler saves her life, Josie is forced to face the one rule she’s never dared to break—trusting a criminal.
Having spent years running contraband through Puget Sound’s fog-shrouded channels, Finn Marlowe is no stranger to walking the razor’s edge between outlaw and survivor. When the beautiful woman he pulled from the water approaches him for help dismantling a human-trafficking ring, he’s hard-pressed to turn her away. When he discovers the same network he’s been working for is behind the trafficking, Finn knows he could lose everything by getting involved, but turning a blind eye could cost him even more.
She’s sworn to the law. He lives outside it. But as their uneasy alliance deepens, attraction sparks into something neither can control—and every secret they keep could be the one that gets them killed. When the tides turn and bullets start flying, Josie and Finn discover that sometimes the only safe harbor to hide… is in each other’s arms.

Review:
Josie and Finn’s book kept me on the edge of my seat!
They’re a high stakes case of opposites attract–she’s very firmly on one side of the law, and he’s mostly on the other–but from the moment he pulled her from the water (and lied about it to someone who is known to kill the people who lie to him), Finn was a goner. Fortunately (or unfortunately, for a while at least?) Josie was right there with him!
Josie had a fine line to walk here—she loved her job and was committed to catching the human traffickers she was after, but was also a witness for the prosecution in that case and oh, yeah, falling in love with an arts and antiquities smuggler. Finn’s a example of a great morally grey hero–he was 100% in on Josie but also had a business to maintain and two coworkers who were also longtime friends with a complicated history.
Can the traffickers be stopped? What tough choices will Finn have to make about his business–and what will he decide? Will the two of them even make it out alive? These are the questions that kept me riveted to this audiobook–the last quarter or so was crazy stressful, not going to lie :O
Code Name: Harbor is the second book in the Jameson Force: Seattle series. It *could* be read as a standalone–Cole and Tessa from book 1 make appearances, but their suspense plot isn’t related to Josie and Finn’s, so you could absolutely start here. Not my fault if you immediately want to add theirs to your TBR when you’re done, though 😉
Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A
