Chase Lovett Wants Me
by Helena Hunting
Release date: January 10th
A brand new standalone, opposites attract, college hockey romance.
Chase Lovett.
Star of my (unrequited) fantasies.
Hottest guy on campus.
Hockey god.
Too bad he has no idea who I am. Literally, I’m so invisible to him that he once sat on me in class.
No thanks to a fire in the dorms, he just became my accidental roommate.
Did I mention the hotel room our university moved us to has only one bed?
Not ideal.
Worse, I accidentally left “My Precious” Lord of the Rings underwear hanging to dry in our shower. My actual nightmare.
My name is Cammie Lovelock and this might just be the worst, best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Review:
Chase Lovett Wants Me is a bit instalove-ish, but it’s so darn cute it’s hard to really mind. Their temporary roommate mixup/oops, there’s only one bed meet cute is epic, and I loved how he was so quickly able to get past her introverted, slightly prickly exterior and see who she really was inside.
Of course her damp My Precious panties hanging up in their shared bathroom didn’t hurt things either 😉
Cammie and Chase’s romance is both adorable and steamy, and strongly influenced by the MFM LotH fanfic Cammie is writing (or is the fanfic influenced by their romance? It kinda goes both ways at times). He has a bit to learn about being a significant other (socially–not in the bedroom, of course ;)) but he’s willing to listen and be better. The opposites attract trope really worked here, since they each were able to draw on their own strengths to help them to fit into each other’s very different social scenes–and they each had a solid friend group to help with that. It all works together to bring us a solid HEA that is so satisfying.
The dual narrators do a great job bringing the characters come to life and made listening to this book a really enjoyable experience. I really like the duet style in which each narrator reads not only their sections of the book, but also voices the dialogue of their character during the other narrator’s sections–it really added to my enjoyment of the audiobook.
Chase Lovett Wants Me takes place in the author’s Toronto Terror universe, but it’s also the start to a new series centered around Tilton University, where Cammie and Chase are both freshmen, so it’s a great place to start reading. Don’t blame me if you’ve added all the Terror books to your TBR before you finish this one, though! #sorrynotsorry
