Review:
But things can change quickly, and for Jenna and Ethan, there’s a major change in their lives that makes a permanent difference. Suddenly they can’t deny how they feel about each other any longer, and they both have a new, horrible purpose in their lives. I almost missed their antagonistic banter, but I enjoyed seeing them together as well. They made the transition nicely.
The true antagonist of the story stays on the two dimensional side–we don’t really get a satisfactory explanation for why he’s done the things he’s done–and in the end Jenna and Ethan find a fairly simplistic way out of their high-stakes life of crime. I had a lot of fun reading the story, though, so it was hard to hold either of these things against it. I will definitely be looking for more from Ms. Logan in the future–I love finding a new author with a backlist!
