Four Weddings And A Swamp Boat Tour, an all-new swoon-worthy Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!
She’s been proposed to five times.
She even said yes to one of them.
And then broke his heart when she called it off. Not to mention her mother’s heart. And her grandmother’s. And his mother’s. And…you get the picture.
Paige Asher has now officially sworn off all dating. Diamonds give her hives.
All she wants is to be a yoga-doing, cat-collecting, vegetarian in peace. Away from her marriage-crazy family and all their expectations.
So when her weekend fling turns into a real friend and offers her a place to escape, she finds herself on his doorstep in Louisiana. And right in the middle of not just one family wedding, but three. Of course.
Charming, sexy bayou boy Mitch Landry gets stuff done. Whatever anyone needs. From alligator-sitting to getting a buddy drunk to showing a woman a good time to fixing a swamp boat, he’s the man. No problem. No drama.
But he wants a hell of a lot more from Paige than a temporary friends-with-benefits arrangement. He wants to take care of her. And her five cats. He also really wants other men to stop asking her to marry them.
But if a roommate and a few orgasms are all she wants, that’s what he’ll deliver.
He can just be her friend and not commit the greatest sin of all…asking her for forever.

Adorable and fun!
Perhaps the sixth book in a series–which is also a crossover to a second series–isn’t the *ideal* place to jump into a new-to-you author’s books, but I honestly can’t say I’m sorry that I picked Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour to read–it was quite the intro! Though I definitely felt a bit out of the loop at times, it helped that Paige didn’t know most of the Landrys or their backstories either–the reader were able to get a series “cheat sheet’ at the same time she did.
Paige and Mitch make an adorable couple–I’m not sure what other guy would have stepped back and taken relationship cues from her so easily–and he gave her exactly what she asked for, even if it wasn’t always what she really needed. 😉 I loved that she became the person who was always looking out for Mitch’s best interests too–as the guy who grew up not wanting to cause any ripples or make any demands, she is quick to see that he deserves so much more than he’ll ever ask for for himself. From the first page, they are *so* good together, though of course there’s the pesky little matter of her allergy to commitment…
There was a touch of the miscommunication trope here, brought on by Paige’s insistence that they keep things light and fun between them and stay far, far away from anything that’s even remotely close to real relationship territory. It’s hard to blame Mitch when he was so determined to do things exactly the way she said she wanted them done, but she veers awfully close to doing just that at the height of their relationship “black moment.” Fortunately, she manages to get her head out of her you-know-where (yoga makes you so flexible! ;)) almost without Mitch even realizing that they’d reached a crisis point, and it’s all cuteness and heat from that point on.
Not to mention there’s some pretty big hints about the next series couple–and let me tell you, I AM HERE FOR THEM. This was my first, but is definitely not going to be my last trip to the bayou!
