It stands alone and comes complete with a swoony happily ever after that will leave your heart in a happy puddle of joy.

This was *such* a fun read!
Goldie and Fletcher’s story was a laugh (and yes, snort-laugh) out loud, banter filled tropefest: a grumpy/sunshine, fake dating-turned-friends with benefits, (least favorite) teammate’s sister story with the bestest doggo(s) and a gaggle of seasoned friends that I kind of wish were real so they could adopt me too.
(Though TBH this is one time I’m actually really glad that I couldn’t actually see the characters IRL–I was much happier forgetting all about Fletcher’s mustache when the other characters weren’t actively mentioning and describing it…[shudder])
I had an absolute blast reading this, even though I find the idea that professional rugby will take off in the states to be a bit of a stretch–I guess that’s why it’s fiction, right? 😉 But Goldie, Fletcher, Sweet Pea, and the rest of their crew were so much fun to spend time with that I almost didn’t want to finish the book, since that meant I’d be leaving them behind. I’m so glad I did, though, because that epilogue? Absolute perfection! Even if it did make me tear up, just a little…
Until It Was Love is set in the Copper Valley sports-centered universe that a lot of Pippa’s books take place in, so if you’re a regular reader you will probably see some favorite characters. If you’re new to her books, though, no worries–this one works just fine as a standalone too.
