Review:

I swear, this series just keeps getting better…and it was pretty awesome to start with!

Cas and Delilah’s story is a second chance romance with a whole lot of suspense that should be OTT but somehow isn’t. This is one intense bad guy here whose *plans* have freaking layers. Seriously, trying to figure out how he’s managing to do what we all know he’s somehow doing keeps our MCs–and the reader!–guessing.

In between all of the insanity that our antagonist is orchestrating, Cas and Delilah have a whole lot of baggage to unpack. Lack of communication, outside interference, and Cas’s deep seated insecurities tore them apart five years ago, and they have a lot of work to do to make sure that this time they will make it. Ms Anderson makes us believe that they’ll do it, though–and after all the villain puts them through, they earned it!

I’ve been dying for a Cowboy/Donovan story for ages–but what happens at the end here pretty much indicates that the next book isn’t going to be theirs. But with that bombshell that gets dropped? Book 6 cannot be here soon enough!
